    It's Tuesday. .

    I went to the shop.. my truck still isn't ready but hopefully it's done this afternoon. I received a phone call. . The part showed up and its been installed. .GREAT!

    I called Mark (my dm) and tell him the truck is out of the shop..gives me a load from the yard for tomorrow morning. :)

    THEN! my phone rings. . It's the shop. . We found more stuff wrong. .. YOUR KILLING ME!... What? Your batteries are bad. .400$ ...I don't care. . Fix it. .I'm under dispatch and leaving in the morning!....Oh, we'll have it ready.

    I don't get frustrated very often. . But I put the truck in the shop 10 days ago. . They waited until 3 days ago to start working on it. . All of my extended down time could have been eliminated if the shop hadn't waited to work on it.

    It's Friday morning. . I'm 195$ in the hole (because I took last week off)

    I have 1,100 miles. . I'm delivering in KCKS after making it to the yard last night.

    Trucking..ugh.. It's like my second marriage. .a love hate relationship. .

    Sucks coming back sometimes and takes a few days to get into it again...

    I'm puzzled and amazed with operations/preplans this week. Ran from Indiana to KC to Colorado Springs - then preplan from Wichita to TN and then TN back to CO. Amazing week and next week... ;)

    Road CALL sorry it's taking a bit to get back to you.the miles shouldn't be too much of a problem but getting home two days a week I would say negative Ghost Rider.but it also just kind of depends I'm headed to the house today I was at the House last weekend and the weekend prior to that.sometimes I stay out for 3 weeks and then go home for 3 days and then out for two weeks and come home for four days. But I gotta say as a company driver I'm being treated really really well

    Yeah I hear ya on getting home every weekend. That's what I was told by Marsha so it's all I had to go by. As long as I can get the miles when I'm out there and get home every couple of weeks it will work, especially at .43 a mile to start. So are the company trucks as nice as the lease trucks, all T680s?

    Sorry Jag, don't mean to jack your thread just trying to get a little company driver feedback. I will say you guys are making me think real hard about leasing. Probably start as a company driver and go from there. Thanks to all that contribute to this thread.
