I decided to take an opportunity to get back into driving again. At the very least it will give me experience in some areas, which i wanted. I started out hauling wood ( tree length and double bunk) to our local mills. It was a hard start and quite a learning curve , tbh. The good side was i learned a lot from my troubles. It was a pretty good job but a combination of factors just made me rethink the situation. I had nice talk with my boss, gave him a notice and moved on to something else. I am now hauling mulch(primarily) to home centers on Flatbed, which i have never did before. The truck is so much nicer too, which makes all the difference in the world. Like anything else though, there are a few downsides, but im optimistic.
Returned to driving.

Sounds like you have an awesome attitude. Best of luck man! It seems like hauling the "end product" always goes better. If that makes any sense. Like you were hauling bulk wood to the mill, now you're hauling mulch and liking it. I haul boxed beef, and it seems the cattle haulers that go into our plant have a lot more headaches than I. Anyway, I didn't mean to make it about me, I'm just saying it seems the hauling on the tail end seems to go smoother, so hopefully you keep liking it for years to come!MidwestResident, Dharok and hoptrot Thank this.

You know, i never thought of it that way, the "end product" perspective. Its funny though, The company i work for now, happens to be one of the places i used to haul wood to.
