I'm a returning driver going to apply to Millis Transfer. Several years ago I drove for CR England as a lease operator and I couldn't always get 3,000 miles a week. I'm glad that forums like this now exist, and I hear nothing but good things about Millis Transfer and a few other companies.

I hope my chances getting hired as a student driver out of Washington, DC are okay. I sent an email a few days ago asking, but I haven't received a reply. I'm assuming Millis Transfer is busy and I'm going to apply anyway.

What you need to do is call and talk to a recruiter, and then apply online. I did see that they were hiring drivers out of Virginia and West Virginia, so you have a pretty good chance. I know when I talked to the Millis recruiter that they have two different pay options. They have one with per diem and one without per diem. The one without per diem will give you the option of vacation in 6 months, and the one with per diem gives a vacation in one year. You will need to talk to them to find out what your payscale would be. I know that I have never heard anything really bad about Millis..so when my husband was looking for a change we applied to Wel company, Millis Transfer, and Crete. Good luck to you on your job search.
