Returning Driver

    Short and to the point............I know some companies want CDL review courses............but this is more baloney!!!

    Does anyone know of a company or companies that will take on a driver even part time.....................if he is on disability and can pass driving test.... and physical??????

    If I can drive 2 weeks out of a month.............I would be happy!~!!

    Watkins and Shepard would probably hire you if you haven't been on the road for awhile. They have a 10 day orientation and are pretty thorough about qualifying people before assigning them a truck. A short call to their recruiting dept. should answer your questions re. medical etc.

    While waiting to get loaded last week I spoke with a driver from TransAmerica (dark blue tractors with red and white lettering), based somewhere in the NE. They have a program where three drivers will share the same truck, each one driving team for two out of three weeks, with one driver rotating off the truck each week. For those who don't need a full time income, it sounds like a nice deal...assuming the three are each able, and willing, to cope with the obvious challenges.
