on the Eaton 10 speed manuals there was reverse high gear, you got to it with the range selector. I was under the impression that Eaton automatics are the same transmission, just with a robot that works the clutch and selector, how do you get to reverse high range in a 10 speed auto? Does it still have reverse high?
Reverse high gear, Eaton SmartShift 10 speed

The DD12 I drove for a week you could hit the shift stalk and it had 4 reverse speeds crazy.

I’ve done it bobtail in a yard, but it’s too darn fast.
My 18 speed Eaton UltraShift, once In reverse, I just pull up on my shift lever to go to faster reverse gears. -
I need to be able to beat poonjab to the last parking spot after I get to the end of the truck stop and have to back up the one I passed that required effort to get into

I've actually done this once in my paving career to back down a mostly straight road for a mile. Useful, but still not recommended.
PE_T Thanks this. -
