Of course. Thats the benefit of working with great customers who pay timely. And because i work 7 days a week to service my customers and thankfully most of the carriers I work with are grown men so i dont have to babysit them all day. Not without its own headaches though, drivers can somehow flip their rigs, total my load, and somehow insurance doesnt cover it so i pay 30k out of pocket....
Ridiculous TQL offer on a load going 548 miles.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was just responding to the post that made it sound like we have no risk compared to the broker.Lite bug Thanks this.

Insurance don’t always pay out. Customer may say product is damaged, when in fact it is not or has been damaged by shipper/receiver/ or was damaged originally. That’s where legal fees begin.
-
This, in a nutshell. Most of my customers are net 30+ from receipt of their required paperwork (which typically means carrier needs to submit signed POD so we can submit it). We pay in 21-25 days from receipt of invoice and signed POD. So, at the earliest, you guys are getting paid typically 5-9 days before we are, and in some cases 35-39 days before we are.gentleroger, Siinman, Jubal Early Times and 2 others Thank this.

if you guys and gals only knew what was in the rate. if you guys only knew what they have to eat. I knew a broker, made a ton of money and also lost a lot more. Try it sometime, see how it works out for you.
Siinman and Short Fuse EOD Thank this. -
That’s why I send all paperwork after load is delivered. Know how it feels to wait! LolSiinman, D.Tibbitt, PPLC and 1 other person Thank this.

Yes, but with all due respect, we incurred IMMEDIATE variable expenses directly attributed to the movement of your load.
I think this is MAIN inherent problem in this business, for both the carrier and the broker. Almost anywhere else in life, payment is realized when a product is sold, or a service is rendered.
Just like if all truckers got together and said, "We won't haul for less than $3 a mile," if all the BROKERS got together and said, "We will not broker your load unless payment is made immediately upon completion of delivery," then REAL improvements will be had in this business. For ALL parties.
Hell, in some businesses, payment must be made BEFORE a good is purchased or a service is rendered. -
And you did that because you wanted to, not because you had to. There is always a choice.. You choose your fate not the broker.

Nobody ever talks about customers who pay quickly (for good reason) but they do exist. A buddy of mine works direct for one customer that cuts a check every 7 days.
