Yeah, resurrected an old thread...so what? :D

Age old question, though. Red pill or blue pill?

Depends what Im driving and if it can stay in the lane or not, with a 48 or 53 I will use the outside land of a turn, but if Im pulling double I can easily turn using either lane so I look for signs, like "Trucks use Right Lane Only,

Bottom line always keep the motoring public safety your foremost concern. Most do not know or are what it takes to get a truck safely around a corner. After all it was your decision to be a truck driver, so there safety falls firmly onto your shoulders.

One thing to keep in mind is you have a huge blind spot on that right side. A car can slip in it in a split second. I can't count the number of times I have heard a driver say I never saw the car. Do the right turn however you desire. Just remember that blind spot.

You've got to constantly monitor cars I drive in Downtown areas like LA, Phoenix, etc.. So I constantly make right turns and I have several cars a day that will drive between me and the curb, I simply stop right there till its safe to proceed.

I was trained to use the left lane that turns right. You can swing wide to prevent off tracking. Swing wide in the inner lane to miss grandma on the corner and your tractor swings into the outer turn lane.

right turn lane...what a bout a dual right turn lane into a 3 lane road, can you then use the left-right lane and creep left into lane 3, and end up in the middle lane? seems smarter than cutting of the left right turners.... i have searched everywhere and cant find this answer...
