Some linehaul jobs, you're home every day. A.Duie Pyle may have something like that.
Food service pays good, but lots of wee hours in the morning driving.

 

Guess what I mean is that given your situation you need an hourly job that has a pretty set schedule. They do exist.

 

Try Continental Express out of Sidney, OH, they are hurting for drivers and have a dedicated account with Nestle, in and out of Streetsboro and Solon for sure.

 

Just fyi: A. Duie Pyle doesn't operate around there. I work for Dayton Freight (which does have terminals in that area) and Pyle handles our northeast freight. Unfortunately, the only "new" drivers Dayton hires are dockworkers who move into class B trucks, then class A. Most of our drivers hired off the street have 10+ years experience. I only know of 1 guy they hired that had under 5 years. LTL freight should be your eventual goal, but not in the near term.
