As a driver I had 5 years experience driving prior to working for this company and had a clean Driving record. When I started working for them I thought it would be a good company to work for. Now, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. He will steal money from your paychecks, he will short you mileage excessively. I understand that companies do not pay for the exact mileage you drive. However, if you drive 2500 miles you will only get paid for aprox. 1800 of those miles. He also does not keep good maintenance on his trucks or his trailers so if you value your driving record I would stay away from this small company. He will also try to pull up anything to not take responsibility for his inadequacies. Instead he will try to make it the drivers fault and make them pay for it.
For example these are problems we have experienced: They will send you to Kentucky without a KYU number and if you get caught and get a ticket for running in a state that requires weight/fuel tax permits YOU will have to pay for it even though he knows the laws and rules. If you don't go on these runs he will threaten to fire you.Same applies for other states such as NY. Also you have to avoid scale houses because otherwise you will be stopped every time because he has a dirty FMCSA score for extremely unsafe equipment. FOR EXAMPLE: Always have to drive with 1/3 of lights working properly, if they are working you have to stop every 80 miles because the fuses keep blowing because there are shorts in the lines everywhere. Bald tires, You will not have AC nor will you have Heaters that work appropriately. Every time I have driven a different truck I have had to replace the wipers myself because he is too cheap to even fix those. No Brakes, cracks on the trailers, no brakes on trailers, Air Leaks. This Guy doesn't pay benefits, no holidays and no vacation time. He doesn't even appreciate his drivers so much so if the driver has a family emergency and try to take the day off he will fire you.
When you come home on a Friday you rush to get all your loads done for the week early instead of letting the driver get home to family he will have the driver load trailers ALL day and will not pay you for it. Its a shame because this could have been a really good company because they do have good contracts with people. But because he is soo cheap he messes things up with and for his employees

97.7% Vehicle Maintenance score?!? This means that of ALL D.O.T. registered vehicles, there are only 2.3% worse than Cedric Riley (official name).
However a 96.5% rating on Unsafe Driving, tells me the drivers they hire are just as bad as the equipment. -
so as a driver with 5 years exp.what made you "think" it was good company to work for ?.as a driver with 5 years of exp.why did you chose to enter a state without the proper credentals? As a driver with 5 years of exp.why would you chose to drive a truck not up to spec ?.. Srry driver it all falls back on you .
