i started working for this russian owner out of chicago, 20 trucks company 2 months ago. last week i delivered a load to canada, got pulled for insection, everything went okay except that i was driving an uninspected truck. the anual inspection expired on june 2011. the company got a $240 fines for not having inspection and no inspection sticker on display.
I called the company and told them, that i am not moving unless they send me somewhere to have the truck inspected. They said NO, we will email you a fictitious inspection so you can show , in case you get stopped again, and we will bring you to our shop in Chicago to inspect the truck. They never brought me to Chicago, they sent me an email with a fake inspection done on December 28, 2011, but by my log book on that they i was in Kansas. Istead of bringing me to Chicago , they gave me more loads to Tennesee and back to Canada. on top of this they took out their fines out of my pay check, because they said that I failed to let them know that the truck dont have an inspection since June 2011, and i start working for them since december 1st 2011. ontop of this i am still on the road, driving with false papers, uninspected truck, puting my life and others in danger, and $240 in the hole. what to do? i am driving worry, anxious, unsafe, this is my only source of income, i got 4 kids i need the job, and their greed for money dont make them to do the right thing, what to do? should i contact a state trooper? A laywer? Abandon the truck? please help

They cannot deduct fines from your pay UNLESS there is a statement on the job application stating employees can be responsible for fines resulting from an inadequate pretrip inspection . It's on you for not noticing the expired sticker .
No matter how bad you need a job you need to leave this company . You can report the company here saying they aren't doing proper inspections .
