If the 10 CPM mile extra covers all repairs, including tires, service, and everything else, then for the vast majority of lessors, that price would be a bargin, given everything that can and does go wrong with a truck.

Even if regular service is not covered, it would in most cases would still be a good deal. There is a lot to be said for not having to worry about paying for every single item that breaks. This is especially true if you spend all your money repairing a truck, then end up turning it in after the truck repairs caused you to go broke.

I own my truck and I put away 10% off the top to the maintenance fund.

I pay .10 per dispatched mile for any and all maintenance and repairs. It even covers oil or antifreeze or windshield wiper blades. It covers the tow bill I had to get to the Volvo dealer. I even get a free truck wash per month included in that. So far I have paid in about 6000.00 on about 60000 dispatched miles. They have paid out well over 6000.00 in maintenance on this truck since then so as of right now it has saved me money.

    They have paid out
3595.00 turbo, air leak fixed, cruise control brake pedal switch replaced
    300.00 towing
    810.00 steer tires
    2468.00 drive tires
390.00 tranmission cooler line replaced and headlight assembly replaced
    790.00 oil changes and lubes
    180.00 truck washes
    100.00 oil and coolant

I think all lease plans should be that way. How many thousands of L/Os have lost everything because of repairing someone else's truck.

Seems to me he is paying to fix someone elses truck, didn't he say he pays 10 cents a mile into his maintenance fund! Is there any money left in your fund after paying for all that?

He pays 10 CPM, which is not a maintenance fund. It is what he pays basicially as insurance that pays for all maintenance issues with the truck. This is the same kind of plan that Ryder, Penske, and all truck rental companies do. If his engine blows, and the bill is $20K, he won't have to pay for it. With the expense of keeping EGR and DPF trucks running, it seems like the way to goas far as maintenance.

My husband and I worked through another company "for" Risinger and I honestly think Rose as a dispatcher (at least for us as a team) was Great in all aspects! I can only recall one miscalculation of time, which was a critical load, but I think it didn't come from her directly but rather a pressure from a manager or maybe Steve Risinger.
I have to disagree on the fact that Rose will run you to death, we were home every weekend, even when we did wild runs.
And yes it is true that IP in Franklin did overload us once in a while, but what we use to do is instead of going to the nearest CAT scale which was in Colonial Heights, VA (going back to Chicago) we just used IP's scale at the receiving, it worked out as far as saving time if we needed to get unloaded.
New pick up for VA area, I wasn't too crazy about. At Unilever teas the guard seemed never to be there or as they claimed "he was walking the perimeter" and you could ring the phone for an hour before someone would answer. Other than that we liked Risinger and very much enjoyed working for them, never had any problems with repairs, tolls, or paychecks!
