$1.08 plus .17 is $1.25. As a team, if one could get 5500 a week,
    That's $6875.
    Deduct the $3000 in fuel.
Deduct the $550 for the .10 cents per mile
    $75 a week insurance.

That leaves you with $3250 gross... That's about average for todays legal running companies.

Personally, I don't think a team could run that many miles east of I35 in one week. Not that it couldn't be done. But your average run is only gonna be about 1000. The drop and hooks might make it possible...But there's still going to be live loads to deal with.

Of course, I forgot, that when me and my co-driver was running coast to coast, a couple of good weeks would turn us close to 8,000 miles.

Are you looking at leasing or runnung your own truck? The 10 cpm, and possibly the $75.00 are only expenses for lease drivers, unless they require O/Os to have a mintenance fund.

That is the thing I like most about working here. They say 75% of all pickups and deliveries are drop and hooks. I don't think it is really that high but I know it is over 50% which is great because most of my experience has been pulling reefers and that percentage is not high at all doing that.

Really the only thing I don't like is we pull a good amount of paper which is usually heavy. Other than that they keep me busy. They say in recruiting we average 2700 miles a week and that is while getting home most weekends. I usually stay out and get about 3500 miles for the week.

That's good. Because I'm no loafer. I don't like to sit. Unless I'm home.
I take it that it's all force dispatch. Not that it matters. There's not a place in the USA that I won't go.

It is not forced dispatch you can say no. The only times I have is when they already had me assigned on something then they wanted me to do something else instead where it would of been less miles than what I was already on.

LOL, yeah, I know how that works. They punish you for not doing what they want you to do. That's why I don't normally say anything about what they need me to do. LOL cause the alternative is usually worse.
Ive found that one road is usually about the same as every other road.
