sounds better than my 750 dollar paycheck..i wouldnt mind doing a deal like yours kid..but im not ready to go back otr again just yet..as far as the lease goes i would never want to own one of them trucks anyways so they may be using you but you are also using them as well to provide a better life for your family..i would rock that deal for as long as i could..:biggrin_255:be safe..

32 years and you still haven't learned anything. You said settlement was 322.00 for 2700 miles and change. I do 2700 miles and I make about 1000.00 or more and that is with my lease payment coming out of it. If you own yours and are not paying a payment or repair before that 322.00 settlement then either you don't know how to read the settlement or I honestly have no clue what could be making you make such little money. Did you not turn in a trip or something?

with risingers trucks, if they hav an a.p.u. on it,its disconnected and they wont let you hook it up. sounds like a bad deal to me. with k.c.m. ur not allowed to put a generator on it to save fuel, so it sounds like to me that they really dont want you to make a good living. dont get me wrong, i liked working for them, but the would short you on the pay miles and surcharge.

I know several guys who have apu's and they work fine. I do however know several whose trucks had apu's on them but they were not maintained by the previous driver and they do not work. If the driver wanted to repair it then it would be operational. If you lease a truck that has one it does not cost any more than one that does not have one.

What kind of fuel economy are you getting from that Volvo?

I have driven Volvo trucks with Cummins engines as well as the Volvo engine and have found the cummins outperforms in power and fuel economy at running 70+ mph. Not to mention the Volvo engine brake is a joke.
