The following states have 70 mph speed limits on the east coast; West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida.
Here are more states that allow trucks to travel at 70 mph or even 75 mph;
Alabama 70, Arizona 75, Iowa 70, Kansas 70, Kentucky 70, Louisiana 70, Minnesota 70, Mississippi 70, Missouri 70, Nebraska 75, Nevada 75, North Dakota 75, Oklahoma 75, South Dakota 75, Tennessee 70, Texas 70, Utah 75, Wyoming 75.
Some states have lower night time speed limits for trucks (Texas) and other states have varying speeds based on the area the interstate is routed through.
If you honestly have not "seen" any states that "allow" 70 mph speed limits (or higher) then you have not been paying attention.

Wish you luck BigKid2 with Risinger. I too was happy to start but then I saw what was happening with drivers driving just the type of hours/days you are and I knew that it was going to impact their CSA score. Check out their CSA scores and you might have a different view. Decided it was time to leave and lease my truck with a carrier that I knew was going to have a very low CSA score and was safety conscience...Roehl. Drove for Roehl 5 years ago as a company driver. Since I own my own truck now and are not dependent on a company lease truck, I decided to return make them a business partner. Lower stress and just as many miles.
