They do but not near the hazard as gasoline. If you're hauling both gas and diesel you already know that you need vapor recovery on gasoline and not diesel. There's other requirements about loading from gas to diesel but to tell you the truth we always gave the diesel loads to a common carrier, too dirty for us. So I'd have to look up the requirements.

thanks for all the replies. to the ones suggesting "just move away". its not that simple. for one, i have to fill up 60 reefer tanks everyday at a plant here. if the wind isnt blowing in between the trailers, theres not much i can do. i have to stand there with the nozzle. im concerned because my throat has been sore all week now. the guy training me has been doing it for over 30 yrs and he seems to be fine. im thinking this just may not be for me. if i continue ill have to get a mask. gonna look up some of the suggestions. i should have stayed where i was, hauling wood chips(residue). good money, easy job, just super long hrs. no benefts either. only thing i got going for me with this job is that the same company runs about 15 big tankers (APC). so if i stay id eventualy be on the bigger loads. not to mention this job is my 4th truck driving job in my two yrs of driving. trying to go for a fifth wont look great on my resume im sure.
