I guess you missed this part?

You set it on the dash, or wherever you can hear it from.
Not handheld that way.
I wonder if the remote tester will be yelling at the driver to speak louder because the phone is too far away.
(Will the insanity end any time soon?)homeskillet and 650cat425 Thank this. -

"I am now double clutching" spoken into the phone while they float the gears. "I am now downshifting to 5th", while standing on the clutch and coasting to the light (or just coasting in neutral.

Mine was stuff like...
Drive through those curved lines as fast as you can, then hit the brakes as fast as you can at that line and stop with the front wheel in that box.
Accelerate as hard as you can to that line, and when you see the light (left or right) swerve around that line without crossing it.
In my Honda CRX, or the Fiat X1/9, even the TR-7 or MG Midget, it would have been fun.
Stuff like that on a motorcycle, or in a truck? No.homeskillet, 650cat425 and Six9GS Thank this. -
I hail from a tiny town on the Texas coast called Port Lavaca. Population around 10,000. DMV was only open there one day a week. It was a laid back little place when the world was quite different than it is today. Only reason I never got in any real trouble was because the police knew us and we knew them. Got caught out underage drinking and driving several times and simply got a police escort home. Stuff like that simply wouldn't happen in this day and age.

Compared to today, everything was laid back, back then.
We really knew how to live, back then. -
And, although it is easy to reminisce about 'the good ole days'. I tend to think in many ways the world is better today than back then. Just my opinion. But, cars are far safer, pollute a heck of a lot less. Racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. are still around, but things are better than they were. Having a daughter, I'm glad she has more options than existed back then. Stuff like that. World's still messed up, but, it was back then too. Often times, we just weren't as aware of it as now.Flankenfurter, austinmike, Moosetek13 and 4 others Thank this.
