When Gordon gives you the road test to get hired on are they strict that they want you to double clutch to shift gears or will they allow you float the gears for the road test.

It really depends on who is giving you the road test. I had a veteran driver road test me. I asked him if he wanted me to double clutch. He said floating was fine as long as I could do it without grinding gears (it was his truck). If one of the safety guys is road testing you, I would expect to be double clutching...not sure I'd even ask. ;p
