I am scheduled to take a road test for Sygma Network. Does anyone know what kind of tractors and trailers they use ? 46,48 0r 53' ? 9,10,13 sp. or auto ? Thanks! Delivering to fast food places, not OTR.

Most food delivery companies run 48' trailers because they are easier to get through to alley docks and places with a smaller turning radius. The company I deliver for uses a 8 speed tractor. My friend that works for Sysco may have a 10 speed. Get ready for some big time humping excercise and the good part you get to lose weight and look fit. You body will hurt like hell the first couple months or so but this will pass. I just keep thinking "It's better to look good then feel good".

SYGMA has an all Volvo fleet with the small sleepers, I believe the VN 430. Almost all are 10 speeds, but I have seen a few with the 8. All trailers are 48' reefers.

The road test shouldn't be difficult. Less than 5 miles in most cases.
