i dont mean to sound rude, but if you have to ask how difficult the road tests r for these companies then perhaps your not confident enough to pass them...perhaps you need some more road skills practice....

Let's just say...JB Hunt road tests are not hard at ALL. They will take just about ANYONE as long as they don't crash during the test, LOL.

JB Hunt does all their road tests on a simulator. The only part of the test that you will actually be in the tractor is the backing part and basically it is all set up for you, you just have to put it in the hole. The simulator part is real easy, they put it in automatic and it takes about 10 minutes to complete. Think of the game "big mother truckers" and you got the idea of how their road test goes, I am serious here, BTW. When I took it I kept asking the instructor where the machine guns were so I could start getting points. So as long as you can back up, you have it made! JB has been doing it this way for at least 4 years that I know about.

I-71? Cant say I ever noticed that and I have been that way thousands of times in both a truck and a car. That is a pretty straight stretch of road, if you are having problems with that being a skidpad then I would probally review how I drive. If you really want to see a skidpad then try I-294 or I -88 around Chicago about anytime, or I-285 around Atlanta at rush hour and you will truly see a skidpad. You will have to get some of your pre-conceived notions about truck drivng out of your head because they just dont apply.

No Tarps has been driving for a while.
I have never had an issue with that stretch of 71. Upper 71 was bad last winter, but I was on it every few days last winter on a dedicated run. Parts of I-80 in PA are a pain though. They get low on Salt at times, and at night they do not work too hard on the hills.
I live in Jamestown NY though, so we get more snow than any of those areas.
