Hello everyone!
I hope everyone is doing good!
I passed my CDL road test today!
I’m officially licensed and ready to start my trucking career. I’d really appreciate your advice on a few things:
• Which companies should I consider applying to as a new driver?
• Between OTR, regional, and local routes—who typically pays more?
• What are the pros and cons of each type of driving job?
• Last question how long does it take to make 6 figures?
Since I’m new to the field, I’d love a breakdown of what each option offers—like home time, pay structure, lifestyle, and any other perks I should know about.
Thank you for your guidance everyone!

Where is your location?
Do you have endorsements?
Go for the OTR life; that's my opinion.omar1999 Thanks this. -
Shouldn't those questions have been asked before you got your CDL?

Those $100K jobs usually come after 12 months experience, clean record, all endorsements.
Can make that with linehaul companies. -

Just avoid any Knight/Swift company like the plague. Also Welfare Express at all cost! -
