Ive been driving local for almost 2 years, now have a road test with an OTR company. Ive never driven a 13spd. only 10spds. Any pointers or hints i need to know, kinda nervous.
    Thanks for the help.

Haven't researched how to post videos on here yet, but I'll PM you a link of a eaton 13 going through the gears. It's pretty easy, you just split the high range, the rest is the same as a 10.

For the splits, all you have to do is flick the little knob at your thumb forward, then let off the accelerator, then get back on it. It should shift right in. You'll know if it didn't because it'll act like it's in neutral and make a noise (in addition to the engine RPM spinning up that is.) Downshifting on a split, you flick the little knob back, then push the accelerator down to raise your RPM and it'll drop into the gear on it's own.

They take a little getting used to, but it's really not much more work then a 9 speed. Especially if you float. Just be careful when you get back on the accelerator when you split in case it misses, don't wanna overrev the engine too much. :) I did one time and blew the thermal regulator valve (think that's what it's called anyway... the valve that shuts off coolant to the heater coil...) and sprinkled I78 just west of Allentown with coolant for a mile. :p
