Some things have not changed. They're still very thorough, they're still much cheaper than RoadMaster and they're also longer, but you do get an excellent education. They have a waiting list because they can only take on (x) amount of students. I think it's 3 students per instructor so at most they can have 15 students.

They have, however, got new trucks since you've been there. Publix donated a few day cabs and they got 2 fairly new road trucks. I may have trained on a cabover you once drove while there.

Just be careful of Roadmasters...they are getting the reputation of doing the old bait and switch. MAKE SURE ANY AID YOU RECEIVE IS FINALIZED BEFORE YOU START TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was one of my issues with them they wanted me to start school without me even meeting with the finance dept
i was told I could do that during my 1st week there. I had been there on 3 separate occasions before the date I was supposed to start and each time I asked about it they told me don't worry we will take care of that later.

Luckily I had not signed anything ad ended up going to a better school that cost
$1500 less. so glad I didn't go with RM

You know if you got enough people who went to Roadmaster you could make a good case...Im not one to encourage law suits as a solution, but this has become an issue with many people who invest time and money (going to school) just to be told that they need a co-signer and money down. I had a friend who went through them and quit his day job, just to be told he didn't qualify! That really set him back. That was like 4 years ago now.

Be carefully they can not / will not guarantee a job. You may get some Pre hire letters but that's just to orientation thats like a week long job interview. Roadmaster gets lots of funds from Werner so they will push you to go there. The RM in Tampa even has a couple of Werner trucks donated to them that they will teach you in. Any normal company can tell you finance details without money being out down. They want your money so they can lock you in. The school I went to asked how much I would be putting down and gave me 3 different financing options before giving them any $$$$.
RM will let you start if you are not approved they will bill you for the days you have attended. This was an issue for me cause after getting laid off my credit took a big hit. If your gonna go to RM be sure to have your financial details covered. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

    Hope that helps
