Since you live in CA, CA-178 north of CA 99......been there done that! if you think deals gap is bad, this has a cliff and a rock wall on the sides....and the CHP told me i was not the only truck they've seen up there.

When i put a turbo and HD shocks and struts in my volvo, me too...

ive been on roads like that before, where it was the only truck route to/from a customer...well, i mean, it was only 3 or 4 miles of it, nothing like those roads. But who the heck designates a road as a truck route where the truck has to go around blind corners using the whole road? ....

CA178 as i mentioned, has a "trucks not advised" sign. WTF does that mean? And its AFTER the last place to turn around, after you're committed to it. come on..

They sure come up with crazy things dont they. And what made me so mad was there were PLENTY of places to turn around..before that sign. I have people who tell me that there are signs when you get off the freeway, but i sure never saw them...maybe they put another one up after i went over it. I had to have a police escort at the price of $149 to get up it, where it turns into a 4 lane truck route at the top of the mountain.

Im going to run 178 in my car sometime. Eventually. It looks like a fun sports car road. But if you mess up you're going off a cliff into whitewater rapids! no guardrail! no shoulder!

I love interstate 194 in Battle Creek, MI for example. First of all, its 3 miles long, and simply ends at a stop light, like I-69. But....When you get on it from that end, there are no signs at all telling you where it is. I was sitting at a red light this morning, trying to figure out where it was, GPS said i was ON it, then i looked to my left and saw an "EXIT 3" LOL. I either missed my exit or there simply wasnt a ramp for eastbound i-94 on southbound 194, and so i saw a sign "i-94 eastbound --> that way". I follow the signs next thing you know im making a legal u-turn in the middle of an interstate. WTF........arguably it was simply M66 at that point, but it was before the "i194 ends" sign...
