Robot 'beach dog' helping to keep sand clean in southern China
A robot is being tested on beaches in Sanya, China, to help workers clear trash buried in the sand. Developed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Hainan Research Institute, the solar-powered machine – nicknamed 'beach dog' – can clean over 20,000 square feet an hour.
