It's 1400k….700k after rebuild…Reason: Preventive Maintenance for a peace of mind

So looks like it wasn't too bad of a deal
Hope I get 200-300k more out of it

Have them pull the pan on your next oil change and pull down #4 main bearing cap and inspect the bearings. ISX engines supply oil to the block from the center, so any debris in the oil will hit #4 first and show wear there the most. If #4 looks good the rest will look good too.

Just my opinion but spending $1,900 for something not necessary seems a very bad deal.

If the job is done, I would love to see the old bearings and see what condition they were in to help everyone decide whether to replace them or not.

1-lower oil pressure would be red flag 2 pull pan 3 mic with calipers rod and bearings 4 inspect mains. and then go from there. If all is well -sleep good with a fatter wallet.

Yes. You could do everything yourself, if you had tools and service manual.

I know on Detroits - and other newer engines should be similar - the tolerance for main bearings is .0016 to .0050. The coating of lead is .001 thick. So even if it completely disappears and you're on copper there won't be an issue. The Detroit manual says this. Too many people get worried about a bit of lead wearing off. That's what it's there for. It's extremely rare to spin a main bearing. Of course your block is likely toast when it happens, but I'm not sure doing a bearing roll helps prevent that.
