101 down here Sunday. Delivered this morning and it was 80 at 0600. Didn't get quite as hot 97 or so. Lol
got a load out of fort smith Arkansas. Took a ten then rolled window was 1750-2359. So I pull in@ 2100. guard informs me they been waiting for my mt to load. It was preloaded on the assignment. Needless to say I should've came down this morning because they've been waiting since yesterday for my mt. The guard tells me its quitting time@ 2130. So now I'm sitting in a walmart lot waiting to 730 Rolls around so I can start my day and get live loaded. Not a real big deal because my hours are getting reloaded but if this happened and I was on a fresh 70 I would not be happy at all.
Well off to sleep. Hope was mart doesn't get ###### bout me parking here.

Rolled over to get loaded and over 5.5 hrs later finally loaded. This was a load that was "staged" and ready on the dock. So I roll out but will not make my 0545 app time. So they changed it. I rolled up to my fuel stop in Kansas city at the flying j. Oh my what a crap hole! Will be avoiding that place at all costs! Pumps don't work right had to dribble fuel in the pass side tank. Quit without filling complete. Took me 45-60 Minutes to get fuel and roll again. Put me behind on time so I was about an hour late today. Informed dispatch and no issue.
now I'm sitting at mt pleasant getting unloaded. Only part of load goes here. I'm in a door and bob tail waiting for my call.
they just like to make me tight to my appointments. Can deliver early and will make it if they get me out soon. If not I will have to stop and either relay or take a break and there late. Hope they hurry up. Lol. -
Stay out of the Flying J in Kansas City that place sucks... I guess I should have told you that... My last trip in there was like yours, except I just had to wait over an hour to get to a pump. After the wait at least the pumps worked. I always make a note in my truck stop guide of places to avoid. Good luck. My surgery went great, and I feel much better. Should be back in about 8 to 10 weeks.

also the pilot in Minooka, ILL major cluster $#@& and the pilot in Effingham,ILL which depending on the time of day you get there isnt to bad like sunday LOLS !

Glad to hear your surgery went good OldSchool. Take care and good luck on the return.
paoldschool Thanks this. -
There are alot of not so nice fuel stops out there... I do know that if a stop is really bad and we report the stop to the fuel dept. they can remove them from the system. If enough of us complain about bad stops that waste our time or damage our equipment, they will take them out of the fuel system.
childerscarl1 and Shotsjc Thank this. -

I only goto the Pilot in Effingham if they tell me too for fuel, otherwise I goto the Petro... I like more room to spread out!!!

The Pilot in Port Wentworth, GA is a cluster #### too! You have to almost jack knife the truck to get into the pumps. And if you have to stay there for the night, you have to be in there by 1pm at the latest!
As to the other issue mentioned, I've had two annoying pick ups this week that were listed as preloaded trailers/no appt. I arrive and they are both live load appointments because they don't have any of our trailers. You'd think dispatch would know that ahead of time...LOL! Anyway, these forced me to run all night which I don't really care for. Driving at night is boring!
