    Hey its Friday.... almost the end of Week 1

    Pre, enroute and post trip Inspections, Shifting up and down

    Spent last 2 days driving on the roads with the public... gets easier

    practice practice practice

    straight, 90 and 45 degree turns...

    2 more weeks...

    Yeah, there aren't a lot of straight turns out there.

    driving in traffic 2-4 hours a day, some bookwork, close quarters driving, more backing...

    ok Im home for xmas with a new CDL license, now the real work begins, EVO 1 I launch on the 27th with a driver trainer MM are his initials. Not sure yet if he is a flat or van driver, he should call me b4 then to finalize where to meet him.

    lauched outta Gary on my EVO 1
    just finished day 2 in broken arrow oklahoma
    averaging 250 to 300 a day driving
    i drove out the gate into a rainstorm and into the dark
    made me appreciate driving today in sunshine and dry
    learning to double down 10 to 8 on off ramps
    phew
    and those friggin short on ramps in Missouri
    gotta really get into the gears to get 45 b4 you merge
    it gets easier
    so they say
    lol... it is
    oh yeah hauling a cutainside, my trainer is a flatbedder, we have 3 stops tommorrow
    will be a long day
    then wake up to the next dispatch

    Naw!! It gets easier!!!:biggrin_25525: Congrats on getting out on the road. Just remember, TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Don't try to push yourself beyond your current limits.... When I was training, I used to have to stress to some students that if they would forget about trying to rush and just relax, that everything goes so much smoother.
    Also, since you're going to Flats, a word of advice.. If you think that you need to throw another strap on a load, throw two.... More is better than not enough.. Good luck to you!!!!

    after 7 days its alot easier, tommorrow launch with another trainer to finish 1 and start 2 woohoo
    so much more confident driving
    the ozarks taught me to downshift on hills and double downing on exits

    13 days to go then 1 of testing

    not taking a mid evo break
