Simplifies ordering food at truck stops, doesn't it?

"Nope, I don't need a menu. Is there meat in the soup?"

    "Yes."

    "Grilled cheese sandwich, please."

Thanks. It doesn't work as well as I'd like. I keep listening for dedicated assignments near where I live but there isn't much going on there.

I'm sticking with the company for the time being, though. The "safe and legal" company culture is a big deal for me.

My bonus last qtr was $287.

That is a 1cents per mile bonus.
Out of that 13 week qtr,I was on the road for 10 weeks and home for 3 weeks.

So 10 weeks of driving got 28,700 miles, which is 2,870 miles per week avg over that 3 month period.

I drive Flat national, and usually stay out about 4 weeks,so I often get the long east coast to west coast runs.

If you are a 7/7 driver or a 7/4 7/3 driver, you can expect fewer miles, as there is no way you can make a coast to coast run.

So as a Roehl flatbed driver, is 2,000 miles per week reasonable? I can't live on $450 a week :biggrin_25513: and if this is all I should expect from Roehl perhaps this isn't the company for me :biggrin_25510: If Roehl can give a flatbed driver 2,000 miles per week I can manage my bills but this post is giving me cold feet with Roehl. Thank you for the responses. :biggrin_25514: I asked a Roehl recruiter last week, again, about the miles and they assure 2300-2600 per week but this post has me skeptical. :biggrin_2551: I worry about 3 months down the road and I get $450 paychecks that won't cover my expenses I'll be stuck with a $2800 tutition bill if I quit! Viking84 gives some optimism.

if you are making it where you work stay there! freight is way down and we are in the slow season right now. some weeks you will do great and some weeks you be luckey to get 1200 miles, there is no guarentee on a steady pay check in trucking. Im on a home time fleet so I do not average what roehl advertise's . Here is what i got for the last to pay periods for miles. right now no company can give you steady miles , dont believe the hype the recruiter tells you, they will tell you any thing to get you on board after that there job is done.
