Good Afternoon Everyone, I know I have seen this question on the threads alot and read alot of them over hundreds of pages of responses but they all seem to be very bias as i would figure. I'm debating between Roehl Flatbed and TMC. The jist i seem to get is TMC is very strict which being in the Marine Corps Im use too. And Roehl isnt as strict. TMC's home time is a little bit better than Roehl's. The difference I can really find is the pay during training between the two I kno what TMC pays during training but what about Roehl? Please any veteran Drivers out there or anybody who has worked for these companys post your experiances here please the good the bad the ugly the whatever you see necessary to help a newbie CDL license holder out. I live in upstate NY if that helps. My main priorites are steady miles and semi predictable hometime. Thanks guys and gals for taking time out of your day to respond to me!

I wonder who would win a race between these 2 companies, trucks... Lol
-
haha thats a good question King

Also any information about Melton or PGT would be appreictaed!

Tmc is anal about the tarps lining up perfectly and the trucks being spotless.
Roehl wants the load secured properly per their training, same as TMC. Roehl pays for training new graduates, at the terminal and on the road.
Meton is a good company.
Pick the company that suits you best, after the research, as they are all solid companies. -
Thanks ladr I've been in contact with all three of them TMC seems like the "best" but i dont know if them being anal all the time is gonna make it somewhat enjoyable i dont like the lifestyle of having to walk on eggshells and thats the feeling i'm getting from them. Roehl seems more down to earth but i still dont know a whole lot about them. Melton I have heard a bunch of mixed reviews on and the jury is still out on them in my book. Like i said im a newbie just got my license a few weeks ago read over hundreds of threads still doing research would just love to get peoples opinons on them. Thanks!

I was accepted into TMC today I start orientation Sept. 23rd. I researched every flatbed company possible that hired students and TMC seemed like the best fit for me. I see your a veteran so am I and if your eligible for your GI Bill think about TMC because they have the OJT program.

Spy dont get me wrong i have TMC and Roehl tied right now I just dont know if TMC is gonna be alright i've heard awesome things and terrible things I jus cant see myself getting docked pay for having a piece of paper in a cup holder or my truck being a little dirty and getting docked pay and so on. .

Roehl is getting pretty anal about things too just so you know. Profits are razor thin in this industry, so companies are tightening up everything they can to churn a profit.

Thank you scott for your input. I'm just on the fence between the two
