Roehl has a direct link on there website to an article published by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

"Since it started in February,64 veterans have entered the program, just a sliver compared with the roughly 1300 full time drivers Roehl hired last year. Another 171 veterans who didn't qualify for the program also drive for the company."

To me something does not look right here. Only 1/3 of our veterans seem to qualify for this program. But the hype the company throws around about its support of our troops is tremendous. Example: Stickers on the sides of our trucks driven by vets to denote the branch of service they were in.

Now to be honest, I know nothing about this program. But on the surface it looks to me like this company is trying to jump on the miltary bandwagon. I wonder how much (if anything at all) is funded to Roehl by our government to retrain our troops.

I would like to hear from others involved in this program to see what the think.

I highly doubt the government has anything to do with it.Shcneider has a program for guys just coming off active duty who had military truckdriving expirience..Its just another selling point for the company...

since you know nothing of the system you should not be posting this in the Bad Co. thread. that may give someone the wrong idea.

There is threads here about the honors program so do a search for them. I don't know allot about it but the guys coming out of the sevice have seemed to like it.

Those who did not qualify for the program either had been out of the service for to long prior to going to them or did not have GI Bill beneifts left.
