What's ######## about it? There's a lot of students and fewer trainers, plus freight slows down this time of year. Why have they "better not have" driven him as a team. Going through Evo 1 and 2 should take about a month. Not every trip is able to get every single person home at exactly the time they should be. Some people find someone they don't get along with and have to wait for another trainer. Some have to redo a certain evo stage.

I know what their brochure quote is, but often times their brochures omit relevant information or end up not being true. Like when they said Evolution I and II would take 10-13 days each with a 2-3 day break in between. That would be about a month, I agree, 4-5 weeks. "Over a month and a half" is at least 7 weeks. Their recruiter also told me they wouldn't drive team. Students driving team is just a cheap labor source where no real training occurs. Either train them or give them their own truck.

Settle down kids. You guys are getting a little excited. Evo III is a fluffy fanastasy land. There is no difference at all between them and a regular driver...none. Or you can believe the handouts and if you have a few spare bucks I gotta bridge over here for you. A month and a half training blows but there is only one reason it happens. Lack of trainers. So froeght doesn't affect my training you, it just means you will do some sitting around listening to me fuss about lack of miles. A student who really blows will be cut loose at 26 days not held on to for two extra weeks lest we waste more of roehl's money and my time. Back to evo III, the dispatchers there have the same amouts of drivers on their boards as the regular ones (40-60). They handout claims they are extra friendly and helpful. Uh ok are they screened for this upon hiring or something? Trust me I've stood in their office and listened to them and I am not impressed. Hell I can hook you up with a former student of mine and let him regale you with tales of screaming matches with his disp. Training is something to be suffered thru(Though it can be something very enjoyable). We will get to you all as quickly as we can. I get the training dept voicemails urging people to get one more student before the holidays.

Hlaird we do at times run harder than a solo but less than a team. I might have a student drive eight hrs then I might go six more. Students call this team driving but relax it isn't the truck will park for a few hours. It is rare the planets line up that I get someone that's a good enough driver, I can trust no to be stupid, and the load that can be teamed. If all that happens I can and do team drive. It makes the training go quicker for you and swells my paycheck nicely.

Nothing to do with "the black folk", but if I get in a truck where I have to listen to ghetto rap for 14 hours per day, I'll be asking for another trainer. Certain kinds of music can affect your driving, making you more tense. I think they've proven certain kinds of music to overwhelm the senses and be a HUGE hazard to listen to when driving. I have nothing against black folk or white folk. Lots of white folk also listen to the same music. I don't mind certain rap artists, but some of them are just outrageous, swearing every other word while having nothing worth saying. I've got country, rock, and a little rap on the MP3-DVD in my truck, but I won't let my cousin bring his trashy rap along when he rides with me, mostly because he seems to loop through 3 songs on the CD over and over again.

It's amazing how those guys can have a vocabulary totaling approximately 50 words, most of them 4-letter words beginning with "F", and have the kind of money some of them do.

This is so true. I know that when I hear rap, it instantly puts me in a really bad mood. I don't know why either, it just does.
