Hey Kansas, heres the deal with that. I think all training companies make you go to their school if you come in with a class A with no experience and has not gone to school. So to answer your question yes you will have to attend roehls school. Im not sure how long the school is but I do know the info for phase1- phase 3. Im not sure those would apply to someone going to roehls school.

Also you can take the tractor and trailer or just the tractor home. When I went home the first time I parked in front of a old kmart with the tractor and trailer. Next time I just took tge tractor and parked it in the front yard. Did you go to school for your class A?

I currently have a CDL-B with P and S endorsements. I already have a DOT card from Kansas. I am merely going to upgrade my CDL-B to a CDL-A at a local community college within the coming weeks. Just looking at getting started with a company and looking at what options are out there.

If you do that at the college you wont have to go to roehl school. You can just come in for orientation which is a week (phase 1) and phase 2 is 8-14 days with a over the road trainer. Then you test out and get your truck and get a load toward home.

Im really liking the sound of 8-14 days vs. 5 weeks with other companies.

Any longer would be too long. It took me 8 days and I was ready. Any longer would be over kill. I did about 99 percent of the driving and the trainer rode shot gun. You cant learn teaming. It interrupts your trainers sleep and they get mad when that happens. Lol Prime people.
