They seem to have a shortage of trainers and I won't be leaving until Sun morning. Guess I have to tough it out and hope things get back on track.

Just got off the phone with them. I am starting the process now. I like Roehl and from everyone and everything I have seen, they seem to have a great structured company. Sorry about the lack of trainers. Hope that they get that worked out soon and I also hope I do not have to deal with that when I go through. Of course, I am going VAN, maybe I will get lucky.

Really frustrated by this never ending delay. I thought I would have been out of here at least 4 days ago. I am now getting homesick because of it, I have been okay until I was told yet another day at this hotel. I really want to get on the road so I am making progress toward getting a truck and getting home for a few days. A big part of the reason I chose Roehl was for their HomeTime Fleets and the fact that they are supposed to be different and put the driver first. Having such a delay in my OTR training really is not convincing me that they are different than the other "Mega Carriers."

My fleet choice is HomeTime 7/4 7/3, however I have to do up to 6 weeks national before they will put me on the hometime fleet after the 9-13 days with the OTR trainer. This process is taking longer than expected since I have been waiting since Tue for a trainer, I did go out with a local trainer but that may not count toward my training, unless I wow my otr trainer and I may get to test out by next Sun.

I am also waiting for a phase 2 trainer on the flatbed division, in the Phoenix terminal/training facility. I completed phase 1 training last Monday. I am lucky enough to live near Phoenix, so am waiting at home, so not a huge inconvencience to me. Except that it's all unpaid time, of course. But, it's not like I don't have plenty of stuff to do to stay busy. If I end up with a really good phase 2 trainer, who is experienced and good at what he does and is actually a teacher, then it will definitely be worth it. Maybe some motivation for us noobies to consider helping the cause by becoming phase 2 trainers, ourselves, when the time is right.

Hey guys,
I am looking at Roehl to go OTR. I am from Michigan and was wondering if they have any runs in that area? I know they don't have any terminals in southeast Michigan. I am wondering if I would I have trouble getting hometime....
