Well I am back at the Gary,IN terminal and test out to receive my truck tomorrow. I am really looking forward to getting my load home. I have been gone since Sept 1st and am really hoping to be home by Wed or Thurs the latest. My time with Roehl has been pretty good so far. I am getting a little home sick. I don't know how some guys stay out for a month or more on a regular basis. Personally I miss my wife a kids so much and have no intention of staying out so long again. I like the job other than being away for so long, hope to be able to get a local job in the near future. So far I have gone from IN to WI, WI to AL, AL to IL,IL to IN,IN to TN,TN to KY,KY to IN. Now hopefully IN to PA or NJ to get home.

Does Reohl let us take the truck home?
-
-
Yes they do as long as you live 50+ miles from a yard or terminal.

Does Roehl have any Schools of their own, or do you need to get your CDL first?

How much do they pay per mile? Orientation pay? Detention? Layover? I want to do van/reefer. Does roehl hire teams? Are pets allowed? How many miles are you averaging? Are the trucks full size or lightweight?
How long must I be with a trainer? Thanks everyone in advance. Would like for all the new guys to answer this. -
$600 upon completion of orientation
Detention is $5/30 minutes after two hours
Roehl does hire teams but you have to have someone to being with you. They do not provide anyone since roehl is more of a solo company
No pets
2600/week but I'm on flatbed
Full size trucks, no lightweights
Trainer is 7-14 days
