What do you think about female driving flatbeds?.... Don't you think it's a little tough for females... I mean, due to the kinds of loads. And you're right 'bout the lifting part of the agility test. I checked out the website for it. If anyone's curious, here's the link... http://www.goroehl.com/downloads/rdtc/PWS Van Pictorial.pdf

Thanks, Ethan! Be safe out there.

I like that more females are getting into flats. It ain't just a mans job. As far as the loads, the only time I see one might have difficulty is lifting lumber tarps. I even struggle greatly at that. I always get help when putting them on my trailer or i get a forklift to put them on top of the load. My thing is if it needs lumber tarps and I won't get any help from the shipper getting the tarps on the load then it won't get tarped. That's happened once to me.

Also, if you see me offer you help, don't think I'm hitting on you, I don't mean it like that. Some women get very aggressive. Although I can understand why with all the butt holes that are out here. Lol

That is a seriously bad pay rate for open deck.

Our open deck drivers start at .40/mi and progress to .46/mi. I believe we are in the top third of companies in terms of pay. Our drivers also haul a lot of oversize so that normally adds .05/mi. Anyway...I think with a year of open deck experience you should be paid more.

I agree. My problem I've been running into is because of where I live and my age :(

Yes, you will have problems due to both of those.
