Does anyone know what the "wait time" is for any other training sites? Got my Roehl physical on Oct. 23rd but am waiting on my personal doc to sign a form on some meds and injury from last month. Recruiter said I could train in Ellenwood (national van) but I might be willing to travel further if this will cause an undue delay. (National van is all that is available from my location.)

Yeah, if I have to, I'll go up there. Was really hoping for Georgia (I live right on the VA/NC border). We'll see what my recruiter offers.

So if I eventually go home, I drop off my equipment there, or do you think I take it to Oviedo FL? Thanks for the info.

I just got hired on as a reefer, just waiting on my DOT physical and a time to head up to Marshfield, WI. Really was wanting flatbed but apparently the quota of drivers for that has been filled for the year. So it was between van driver or reefer. How is Roehl's reefer division?

Interesting...wonder if it's due to a generally slowing economy or just an annual winter slowdown for flatbed freight? Did the recruiter give you any insights? Or is it because of your hiring area ... where do you live?

I live in Wisconsin. The recruiter said that it was full is all, but she did say by spring time I should be able to switch. I was given plenty of option for routes in the reefer division though. I do know they want me to go to Canada, but border crossing sounds like a hassle to me.

For border crossing I think you get $75. Living in Wisconsin you'll probably go from WI to MA and back

Yeah idk, the recruiter did offer me a position of northern Illinois and S.E. Wisconsin after the 6 weeks of being national. For now though idk what I will do as I have to figure out what my wife can handle.

As soon as I get my DOT physical I can go take the three tests at the DMV. I really don't like reading the DMV booklet though, it's quite boring.
