Roehl the inside scoop from orientation to training to driver

Phase 1 (8 days) orientation
Phase 2 (7-14 days) with a trainer
Phase 3 (until they feel comfortable that you understand how the system works)

I was in phase 3 for 3 months because they didn't have a different dispatcher for me yet. I didn't mind, you don't get paid less while in phase 3 or anything

Also do you guys know if there is any dedicated runs as well?

 

We do have dedicated stuff but I'm honestly not sure about how to get onto one since they don't really post about it. I know of my friends was on a GP account and was home almost every weekend

finished orientation yesterday, now playing the "waiting to be assigned a trainer as we approach a holiday weekend" game. hopefully operations will be able to hook us all up before friday.....

i leave this Sat Sept 1 for my orientation at Roehl, hope it goes as smooth for me. This thread help me reassure myself that I am making a good choice going with Roehl

 

I was told phase 3 is up to 6 weeks

 

I was in phase 3 for three months. I asked if I was doing something wrong lol. They were just trying to find an FM out of ellenwood for me. It can be longer though, just depends. Some people are in P3 for a week some like me for a lot longer. Id agree that the average probably is 6 weeks or less

update on my class, one left wednesday. they sent the rest of us home, the holiday seems to have caused a bad shortage of trainers...alas, at least i get to visit a few days.
