Does Roehl still offer training without going to work for them? i thought i saw where you could pay cash to go through their cdl training awhile back. i could be wrong though. i now see theyve changed from the evo's to the phases and was curious about it. their training was much cheaper and shorter then what ive seen so far from a few local schools, and ive read that the training at roehl is top notch.
    thanks

I think this is possible. You have to call and see tho for sure. Only problem I whecan see with this is that when you apply somewhere else they may not accept roehl as an approved school. Mainly because they are a carrier and in competition with others. Good luck!

I am not sure how that would work out with the new phase training program. The last eight days is really orientation, not just RDTC. I real CDL training is done at the end of the first two weeks. The best way to find out would be to give them a call.

When I was there they kept saying things about if you don't want to work there you didn't have to. It was also before they made the changes to the program that Pa was talking of. If you got 2800any cash on hand you can get training somewhere else then choose.

i emailed the company and got an answer. the training program is only available if you want to work for the company. i am not sure at this time if going on the road is the right choice for me. if i knew i could get home every 7 or 10 days it would be ok but from what ive read on here the way to make decent coin is to stay out for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. i do have the $$$ up front to pay for training.

So go through the training and change your mind and go some where else. I had to sign a contract when I started but I don't think they do that anymore. If you have to stay out 2-3 weeks to make money you are doing something wrong or live some where that is hard to get freight to.
