That is so true.. I was sat down because I go 65 mph a lot (and a couple other things i wont mention). They suggested that I go 60-63, "that is what EVO III drivers are supposed to do". Other then that I get my dispatches without any interuptions. Its been cool so far and I have been on my own for 2 months.

midwest I just keep it under 70. There is alot of money to be made in that 67-69 area. We are allowed 2% for the month. I don't pay it much mind but never end up even close to that.

Sincere honesty in your post...That's real! Thank you for taking the time to speak what I consider to be an unbiased truth. A classmate of mine will be meeting his trainer this week. I hope that he will be able to train with you during one of his evolutions.

Slydaddy tell him to be careful what he wishes for. I have been called a few foul names by some.

As they say... when the student is ready the teacher appears... let us know if you guys did match as student/teacher!

I guess I am the super trucker 7/7 trainer. 80 percent turnover is different than saying 80 percent have worked here less than year. I'm not really a company cheerleader either. Roehl ticks me off plenty with nitpicking and micromanaging. The whole "what is the in and out time" is driving me crazy. Picking up and delivering a 100 mile load on a Friday before I can go home is depressing.
If a student quits to take a good paying local job, good for him. But, it is annoying to see guys jump around from company to company and quit over trivial things. I don't mind turnover, heck it makes me a decent amount of money. I only ask that students stay around long enough for me to get my retention bonus, then they can quit. -

600 miles in 10 hours is legal. What's his problem?
Granted, day after day of that starts to look funny, but it's still not illegal. -
I have read many posts on Roel and have come to the conclution that they go agianst the very nature of OTR driving. Which is freedom and not having someone breathing down your back all the time.
It is my feeling that if you are delivering on time, available to run your hours on a regular basis, and following the companies policy's, then they should leave you alone and not worry about how you get the job done.
If you are not wrecking, or costing them money or getting tickets. Then I want my company to sit back and count the greenbacks I make them and leave me the hell alone.
