Oh ya it was laying on it's side. Cab is broke from the frame in several places. passenger door pushed in window broken one windshield broken, Trailer is bulged out on passenger side due to load. Trailer door opened 6" so Walmart is most likely going to file a claim on the cargo.Skydivedavec Thanks this.

Had a similar episode when 10 mph super safe mega carrier truck merged into my lane.I was in the left lane going around 40. Blew my horn, nothing, brakes, forget it, downhill on snow, flashed
high beams, finally he gave me just enough room to break my passenger mirror against his trailerand squeeze by. Better then going into a ditch. Got that replaced next morning for 150 in a local shop.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Thanks for all the replies everyone. For the criticisms and words of encouragement. Each have their place. It's off to bed for me so I'm well rested for the zombie walk tomorrow. Please wear your seatbelts everyone. It saved me a lot of pain today and I will now forever swear by them.
allniter, bubbagumpshrimp, OttMan and 7 others Thank this. -
Depends on the company and the circumstances.
We have people where I work who've rolled trucks that are still there.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Glad you're safe sir. Hopefully it is not a career ender.

I'm just glad to hear you're ok.
On a good day, a narrow 2 lane road can be challenging, with the oncoming T/T's.
Add in the half dozen or so negative conditions, and each progressively made for higher safety risk factors.
So it's not hard to see how things can go haywire in an instant. I'm sure you probably wouldn't have done it the same way, with what you know now.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
next time hold your lane and rip off the mirrors...I will never swerve and lay it over to avoid hitting mirrors as the other drivers drive off..10/4
Dinomite, blairandgretchen and Chewy352 Thank this. -
No reason to ask any of us old folks what to do diff---cuz the honest answer is:Unless you are there you really do not know--as many have stated nothin' worth getting hurt or worse over so live and learn--You walked away-nobody hurt--that's what counts--lots to take away&learn from..........
As for the poster talking bout 2lanez & speed limits--if he was one state south--it would have been a 75mph road! LOLChewy352, KW Cajun, Skydivedavec and 1 other person Thank this. -
I just want to thank the OP for throwing this out here on the forum for all to learn from.
As a newbie leaving tomorrow for orientation it is valuable information for me. Darn glad you survived this, driver. Thanks for sharing. Godspeed.KW Cajun, ncmickey, blairandgretchen and 3 others Thank this.
