And of course exceptions to every rule, there are some states that have signs that say lights ON, others that say lights off, so being able to read is important!

I always turn mine off and just leave the running lights on. Why? I hate having to stare at headlights all night and I'm sure the people in the scales feel the same way so I view it as professional courtesy.

In reality, I will turn off my headlights unless signs specifically dictate they remain on. The exception is if I have to pull into the station, then actually get pulled onto the scale (as opposed to bypassing), at that point I dim them. If I get the bypass, I'll leave 'em on right through.
Unless the moon phase is the first quarter and I have a donut in my pocket.... -
I shut them off unless it says to keep them on. Same thing when pulling into a shippers that has a guard shack. Just as a courtesy.48Packard Thanks this. -
i turn them off and run my normal parking lamps and cruise in slowly to about were its good enough distance he can see the lights go off, its more of a courtest some lights can be blinding to the dudes in the coops so dont want them to catch a personal vendetta with you the next time you roll in lol.
i personally turn them off i run 6K HIDS they are pretty blaintinly bright. -
Running lights only unless sign says otherwise. or the moon phase is in the house of Aquarius !
I try to make the coop people HAPPY ! and maybe they will leave me alone. otherwise pitch a donut out the window and watch en run
