    Hi all,

I just wanted to get some advice on what my options are as a new driver that was let go during my training period due to a few close calls while driving . I don’t want to go into details on what the safety issues were but I can see why the company would now look at me as a potential liability. I didn’t get into any accidents or damaged any property or vehicles so my MVR isn’t affected. I’m wondering if I apply to a new trucking company they will ask me why I was let go and so on. I’m also considering opportunities that would also me to use my CDL but not with an 18 wheeler.

    thanks all.

    MSWS and Chinatown Thank this.

Well it was during "training" so I would think the company should assume some of the responsibility. Training is where you are supposed to make your mistakes and learn from them

Apply for some cdl or non-cdl box truck jobs.
    You still in San Diego?
I'll give you some ideas to consider.
Tell companies you're not really interested in long-haul trucking and want local work.
