The title of your thread is "safety issues" but your post says you don't want to get into details.

Yeah, will be a problem for most outfits. Probably not so much for a few of the local companies I'm listing.

Well....it's hard to gauge an answer to your question since you won't go into details. What I will tell you this.....don't give out more information than is needed on the applications. IF they ask why you were let go from training, just say you didn't make the cut, or they wanted to go with a different candidate. Don't volunteer unnecessary, incriminating information. You didn't have an accident or anything like that so there really isn't anything to report or admit to.

    Good advice right there!

It will depend on what the previous employer reports when your next company asks for employment verification about you. If previous employer reports neutral info, you can say you & company agreed the company wasn't a good fit for you. If they report negative info, you need a VERY SHORT explanation and humble attitude.

If the previous employer reports anything related to using your phone, you will have problems until you have significant experience at one company that proves you are responsible. Just because you need a job it doesn't mean driving a truck is for you. You really need to look honestly at what the errors your were making were and if you can overcome them. You do not help anyone by lying to yourself. If you won't/can't change your behavior you will only get in worse trouble later and that trouble will be expensive or much more serious later than right now.

    Honest talk, hand:

The better you do, the better WE (all drivers) look. The goal isn’t to get a job and hold a steering wheel, the goal is to be good at what you do. You got fired for safety issues in training. You don’t want to go into details, BUT I will guarantee you that there is a driver here that can help you with whatever issues you’re having that would cause a company to can you. So, go into detail.
@bryan21384 has already posted in this thread. So have @Chinatown and @tscottme. Contrary to popular belief we actually do want all rookies to be successful in their careers.

    What happened?
