Where is your location; need to know so we can recommend something.
FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Same here, grew up on a farm and learned to drive on a truck similar to this. It prepared me for my adult career choices of working for companies with terrible trucks lol.FoolsErrand and MartinFromBC Thank this.

They must pay exceptionally well. Otherwise, it’s just another circus trick.MartinFromBC Thanks this.

Otr is a lot easier than local driving, I've done both and it is more work to deal with traffic in a city than it is dealing with driving on a freeway where there's not a lot of traffic and no stop lights or side streets.buddyd157 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Well. My first dry bulk load/unload solo was all based on YouTube. Had one assisted session before that and then boom! Off you go! Spent the previous night on YouTube. Made out alive and well.
-
Well my first dry bulk load was years before you tube had been dreamed up, no assistance, but they did tell me what needed done. (cement)Just passing by Thanks this.

I mean doing something for the first time you make mistakes. Who cares?
Today I was at a new pit with an auto loader loading sand. Never used it. It was loading to much to one side and all the drivers were talking #### on the radio.
“First corner you take you’re gonna dump a wheel barrow of #### all over the ground!”
Lol ok hold my beer, got going and swung the truck hard so all the extra sand just fell off in the gravel pit and it was fine. The marshals didn’t get me this time.
Truck drivers talk ####, that’s what they do. You are gonna mess up sometimes. If they are offering help take it. If it’s unhelpful #### talking tell them to fly a kite.
No need to look up every little thing on YouTube and worry so much. Just try it, you’ll look new regardless. -
There was a danny herman driver whose parking skills turned the loves on deep springs rd in dandridge into quite a circus last week. Musta had 5 spotters and a 3 mile CB radius involved.TripleSix, Lepton1 and HillbillyDeluxeTruck Thank this.
