Rookie friendly companies that will allow 2 cats?

Why would you want two cats in the truck? I can’t imagine the smell and the struggle of chasing one across the truck stop parking lot because it escaped when you opened the door. Buy a Headset and a good phone plan if you’re lonely instead.

 

I would NOT reccomend going to CDL school until you find the employer that fits you needs. Having a new CDL & no job is not good. Lots of newbies are not getting hired due to slow economy & industry. After 3-6 months & no work some employers will require you to complete a refresher course. If you find the job first you avoid that issue. CDL school could be provided by the employer. Some employers only hire newbies frome certain schools.

As far as hair follicle tests, I would only feel safe with 6 months clean. A failed test or refusal to test is counted the same & really .makes it hard to get a driving job. Urine test 30 days is enough to test clean, from what I hear.

Rather than looking for a job that takes you to OK think about starting.in OK. Companies have regular freight lanes. Chances are a company based near your parents, etc in OK will have to in OK more often than a company based in a random state delivering freight to OK. Lots of trucking jobs get you home almost every weekend. A lot of newbies severely underestimate how important regular time out of the truck will be until it is too late.

The cats will be great support once you are working. My 1st year driving was brutal. My 2nd & 3rd year I drove with my dog. It was a night & day difference having my pet.

Go with flatbed at Western. No one will notice if you have two cats.
