You're reading the wrong ads .
    Coca Cola "Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License required. HAZMAT Endorsement a plus.
Driving record within MVR policy guidelines. - No license revocation, suspension, DUI/DWI, careless or reckless driving.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-3 years of general work experience required.
1+ years of commercial driving experience strongly preferred.
    Local delivery experience preferred.
Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a strong plus.
Ability to operate a two or four wheel dolly.
    Familiarity with DOT regulations.
Ability to work with minimal supervision."
    Pepsi "Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

    - 21 years or older
    - Pass the drug test
    - Pass the background check
    - Valid CDL license

    HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

    - Operating trucks requiring a CDL Class A license (for example, driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, dropping and hooking, operating landing gear, or backing into docks and confined spaces)
    - Hauling consumer products and perishable consumer goods (for example, transporting unstable loads or hauling different weights on different trip segments)
    - Operating a tractor-trailer in different conditions (for example, highway driving, side/local roads, city/country, maneuvering in tight spaces)"
Those are the complete requirements from both ads . Now quit quoting CDL recruiter nonsense if you want to have any credibility here .

    Now from Panther Express
Qualifications for our Owner Operator driving position:
As an expedite carrier, we provide the very best in service; our customers depend on it! Therefore, it is our policy to partner with the very best Owner Operators-business, partners who are committed to upholding the Panther on-time guarantee and who meet the following requirements.

    Owner Operators Must Be:
    • At least 21 years of age for cargo vans and straight trucks (no experience necessary)
    • At least 22 years of age for tractor-trailers with a minimum of 6 months recent, verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience

    Owners Must Have:
    • Valid CDL
    • A verifiable clean driving record and good work history
    • No more than three moving violations in three years
    • A nationwide pager; or cell phone
    • A positive attitude

Where's the school requirement ? A straight truck in expedite is 10 times better than OTR with a BFI that requires a certificate from a CDL mill

A friend of mine got hired with Coca Cola with just a CDL B, NO SCHOOLING. They trained him on a trailer, and got him his A.

    I repeat, NO SCHOOL.
