    To the article in the op... probably time to just leave the industry, unless SNI will keep him. Otherwise he'll wind up at one of those second-chance carriers trying to work his way back for the right to earn mediocre money.

    Cannot be "under a load". Having a trailer is fine as long as it's not being used to travel in the direction of shipment.
    Within the 14 hour rule a driver can PC w/wo a trailer Not in the direction of travel, in other words in any direction other than towards pickup or delivery.

    DOT updated AFTER I went through orientation. I don't know if Schneider updated to follow suite.
