I began my trucking career August of this year with Werner. I did my 275 hours training and was paid 400 per week. After training I had to wait for my team mate to get don't with his training. I drove solo for an entire month and the highest check I saw was 800 and that was because of my 500 graduation bonus. My average check was less than what i was getting paid as I student. As you could imagine I was pissed and felt like I had been lied to. I was ready to leave at that point.

About a week before my team mate got on the truck I received a call from a guy over at king who asked me if I wanted to make more money. Off course I did but I was extremely skeptical. I asked my dispatcher if she had heard of the guy and she said she had a few of his trucks on her board. That made me feel a little better but I still want sure. A week later my team mate got on the truck at the Dallas terminal. I told him about the guy at King and he said ##### it, what do we have to lose...lol. I told the guy we were in and within a hour he set us up with the owner operator division. We went through a two hour orientation with Werner and just like that we were switched over. He rented us a car and told us to meet him at the shop in NC. When we arrived we were assigned a truck and went over some paperwork.

Finally, the pay. We are paid based on how many miles we ran and we receive a percentage from every load. All I know is that my average check is around 1k. Average. I got lucky because ive only been in this industry for 3 months and im already making deceny money. We got a 5000 team sign on bonus as well.We average 5000 per week but that number should go up after we get this dedicated account in January. It was a jump that I'm glad I made. No doubt about it.

I think they are looking for teams so if you are interested text me. If you team with Werner I think it's easier and faster to switch over.

We are pretty much fresh out of training. Doesn't Conway ask for 6 months of experience?
