    we are planning on doing the mountain coaster, tubing down the river, the waterfall, a couple german restaurants, and one other thing. I appreciate the tip on the jacket.

    Easy hikes around Helen to see waterfalls:
    Anna Ruby Falls - Helen, Georgia
    Dukes Creek Falls - Helen, Georgia
    Horse Trough Falls - Helen, Georgia

    At the Troll Tavern in Helen, you can sit on the patio next to the river or sit at the indoor bar and look out at the river as people float by. You gotta go to the Troll Tavern at least once while in Helen.

    If you want to leave Helen, Blairsville and Hiawassee have easy and scenic drives. Both have little downtowns to walk around.
