Vehicle speed sensor bad .. speedo bad or rpm gauge bad .. no other way to lose road speed and have rpm down ..check your road speed against a gps app if it’s correct it’s the rpm gauge .. If it’s out then it’s in the speedo area or vss

Sounds like he has one of those autoshift transmissions. Has a a clutch pedal and no gear shifter.

I'll check the rpm gauge.....yeah I check the speed versus GPS speed....runs the same speed

See that's the importance of giving people enough information to actually give a relevant answer. Never once did OP say anything other than "10 speed"

Ok so I see original post has been edited to say transmission is a manual.

So I'm really not understanding the question. Why are you shifting it earlier now? Just run it like you did before.

Yes....because I got weird responses from some.

I'll go slow......my truck has10 gears, a clutch and shifter with splitter. The splitter goes up when I'm in high gear. I shift each gear with my right hand

When I shift into into 7th gear....I'm going 15-18mph because the rpms are reading 1500.

Do you think an rpm reading in 6th gear at 1500 rpm going 18mph is odd or not odd? Because previously when I'm going into 7th gear from 6th....I'm going 25mph at a1300 rpm reading.

Basically this is a "high rpm at low speed thread..." I shouldn't be in 9th gear already at 35mph.....why am I in 9th gear already? Because if I was still in 8th gear at 35mph...my rpm reading would probably be 2000.

I just need clear answers.....this post shouldn't be that hard to figure out.

    Again....high rpm at low speeds.

Ok I follow you now. Original post made it seem like something was telling you to shift earlier (or in the case of an auto, the transmission shifting too early).

If this started happening right after you did the thing we shall not speak of, I'd wager that some of the parameters in the flash file they used don't match the truck's specs.
